Does What Is Happening In Africa Make Ther Uk A Prime Target For Terrorism?

Should Cameron be more concerned with fears much closer to home?
Instead of employing our ever decreasing number of troops overseas, perhaps they should be protecting our own citizens, or are we to be as laid back to threats to our country as we were in the 30s?
Are our Border Agencies up to the job of protecting our borders, or should we be employing the experts?

As New Judge indicates we already have a question very similar to this one, which I find baffling. What troops have we deployed to North Africa or or I missing something?
Terrorism by Islamists has been a major problem in Algeria for years. Thousands have died there although admittedly the problem had been brought more under control in recent years.
Perhaps you would prefer to see countries like Mali, whose government is weak and in no position to defend itself, fall into the hands of terrorists who would doubtless use that power to conduct operations against foreign workers on a regular basis.

My answer is that these problems have been known to knock at our door, as both Spain,and France have also experienced.

They could assist in manning our border controls in a robust manner. This could begin by the provision of passport control at the gate of each aircraft so that it is known for sure where those arriving "sans papiers" (having flushed them down the khazi en route) have come from, thus facilitating their easy removal. Most of the undesirables who remain in the UK and whom we want removed arrive in this way.
They could help the police enforcing "house arrest" (or whatever you want to call it) upon those whom we do not want roaming about because of their terrorist connections, but whom, for inexplicable reasons we cannot remove.
I could go on, but I'm sure you get my drift. Basically they would be better off in the UK undertaking tasks like this rather than moving terrorists from one Godforsaken hole in the Middle East to another.

Of course, Alexander the Great lived in slightly different times. But I'm not necessarily suggesting that the tasks I outline be carried out by troops. If the money saved by withdrawing them from foreign khazis (where it seems evident that they are simply moving the problem around) can be spent in the UK, I'm not really concerned whether those undertaking those (far more beneficial) tasks are called troops, police, border control officers, or whatever.

This problem was discussed on the radio this morning, and some 'expert' was outlining the same concerns as I am.
But what he did add was the fact that unlike France who attach certain restrictions on their Muslims, and encourage them to become French first and Muslims second, whereas we in the UK in our quest for a multicultural country, encourage them to set up ghettos, where Islam is sacrosanct.
He also suggested that the maximum peace loving Muslims should be more openly condemning the acts of the minority fundamentalist Muslims, and until such things happen the citizens of this country do not really know who are the enemy within.
