// Much of the Labour vote is made up of the unemployed and their sympathisers //

So you thinnk unemployment is 38-41% of the voting population?
Pdq1

Between 1997 and 2008 unemployment plummeted to the lowest for 40 years and Labour kept winning general elections. It was only when unemployment jumped after the 2009 financial meltdown that they failed to win the next election. Your 'theory' about who votes Labour seems to be totally wrong.
Yes Gromit and who contributed to that massive meltdown ? Labour !
Who spent vast sums of money they didn't have ? Labour
Who accumalated a debt as a proportion of GDP greater even than Greece.
Labour !
Who totally failed to control the banks and instead used them to saddle our children with a debt for the next 90 years. Labour !
And we musn't forget that £9 billion lost by Brown when he sold off our gold reserves must we. ?.

I know what you will say Gromit it was all Maggie Thatchers fault 30 years ago or was it Churchill ? Nothing, of course , to do with the 13 years of recent Labour rule when the had the opportunity , with a big majority , to put into practice their socialist dream.
