Pork Found In Prison Halal Food

The point I am trying to make is that Muslims live under Islamic law and there are lots of things they are not supposed to do. If they are in prison they have already broken Islamic law by committing a crime, but a tiny trace of pork DNA in their food has them all distressed and upset. I think it is hypocritical . I wonder how many will go down the compensation route?

it has changed out of all recognition, and unless one is able to pay top pounds for pork products at the big supermarket, then one has to go a distance. we had two butchers, two greengrocers, three newspaper shops, an excellent bakers, tailors, shoe repairers, all within a five minute walk, all those shops have gone.
Halal meat is vile. How anybody can slit the throat of a little lamb (a baby animal) and watch it bleed to death is abhorrent to me. They have such a short life in the fields with their Mums and then this horror is inflicted upon them. This isn't a muslim country and animals aren't religious and I don't approve of it here, and I don't give a stuff how controversial that is. And no, I don't eat lamb. Farm animals should be treated as humanely as possible for the sacrifice they make and halal is NOT humane. I don't care about these prisoners, all my sympathy is with the animals.
It has been said before that if Halal salughter is delivered correctly, the animal dies rapidly. I don't think we should let this thread descend into the usual discussion about methods in slaughterhouses which have been done so many times before - and let's be honest, there have been some appalling stories asnd videos posted on here about cruelty and lack of consideration in "normal" slaughterhouses. None of us like to think of animals being killed so we can eat - to raise a story of happy little lambs in fields is emotive, to say the least - they all get killed, one way or another.

So what?
Why do we pander to prisoners by offering them special dietery requirements? There should be a standard (basic) menu in prisons and the inmates either eat it or starve
For far too long have prisoners had too many home comforts such as special food, games consoles etc
Lock em up 23 hours a day in a basic cell with a mattress and a p1$$ pot. Far less would re-offend when they got out

Joe, they are locked up for 23 hours a day. Stop believing what you read in the papers!!!!
Baz - No, I'm not worried about my kids, or their kids, or their kids kids...
You're worried about the Muslims, someone else is worried about the Polish. Stop worrying, life is too short.
