Why the sudden outcry about these animals when there is obviously a greater danger already in our homes in the form of "devil dogs"?

some people are claiming all these recent issues with foxes is just a ploy to get the hunting laws lifted ...
Didn't know the hunt went through the towns & cities.
joko - that`s rubbish.
Apparently that is what is being suggested though " bring back hunting to the shires and we'll rid London of foxes (rolls eyes in disbelief)

hc4361- Sorry but from memory, in recent years quite a number of children have suffered fatal attacks from family 'pet' dogs....but now because foxes are involved all hands are being thrown in the air! The worst kind of enemy,is the one within, which is not expected to attack its own family....All dogs are descended from the wolf!
I am not anti-dog, but I would choose one very carefully when there are young children involved.
We have a fox that comes regularly into our back garden during the night, he's raided the henhouse in the adjoining property at the back of our house and killed two hens. He isn't any bother to us as he's gone by morning, but I think I'll be careful not to leave my back door open during the summer. I've been told that sprinkling Jeyes Fluid around outide the house deters them, they don't like the smell. Haven't tried that yet.
I wouldn't mind urban foxes, as long as I would be allowed to shoot them.
Rock on crafty!
Shocked!
gness you little fibber................
As far as I know, foxes are classed as vermin so shooting should be OK, and a pack of hounds with only cause a tail-back in the High Street!
You're right Crafty...haven't been shocked since the incident with the electric drill and the metal step ladder. :-)
Tomorrow I have to go and put down the last of a neighbours chickens. They had eight rescue birds and foxes have gradually, despite the best of care, got them all. This last one has been badly bitten and is clearly terrified.
I detest foxes.
Me too shoota. It wouldn't be so bad if they only killed to eat, but they just kill regardless of appetite. Nothing but vermin yet some people bloody feed them.................
Sad Shoota...so far our lot have been lucky....or perhaps the coop is doing it's job. x
Why do you have to put the chickens down if the foxes have already done for them?
They have done for 7 and the last remaining one is badly injured
shoota, why are you going tomorrow to put down this hen, if these people keep hens do they not know how to 'neck' them themselves. if the hen is injured and in distress and beyond help, then it should have been put out of its misery straight away.
You have chooks G?
Why can`t the owners just wring it`s neck? Do they need you to do that?
