Surely he isn't thinking that acting like that is a good idea in the sense that it will solve his problem, he is trying to get out and thus abate the feelings of rage & frustration he has permitted to build up, having been thwarted. It is a common enough way folk try to deal with the issue, but for those who experience that, being taught how to deal with the inner rage in a better manner is a useful skill to learn.
