/// Free prescriptions were introduced in Wales in 2007, Northern Ireland in 2010 and Scotland in 2011. ///
Why should England be the only part of the UK to have to pay for prescriptions?
Why does the EU allow this discrimination?

It's running on empty at the moment (particularly at this stage of the financial year) - if you want free prescriptions, something else (possibly for someone who really needs it) would have to go.
the NHS isn't skint, it's awash with money. It's just not being distributed correctly. Too many hospital trusts, managers, massive waste, it's not their money after all, and too many people trying to access services, that in effect they have never paid a penny towards, don't care where they come from.
