Originally a broadsheet newspaper, since 2003 the newspaper has been published in a tabloid or "compact" format.[2] The Independent is regarded as leaning to the left politically,[3] but tends to take a more pro-market stance on economic issues.
whilst we are about it, watch Have I got News for You, or perhaps Mock The Week, and any programme that has Jimmy Carr, Sean Lock, Alan Davis in it, panel shows on later in the evening, because you will hear lots of rude comments, it's what they do. sometime about Labour, but more often about the posh Tories....

When, or if, Labour get into power, then you'll find nearly all comedians will appear to be Right Wing.
By the way, quoting from the Daily Mail is hardly quoting from a balanced source of news.
