These boys are so young, as their photos will testify. How on earth can children this young actually batter somebody to death ? A terrible tragedy for such young lives.

I realise that they deserve their punishment but what on earth can the future hold for these boys ?

I don't think their sentences were anything like long enough considering that the attack was deliberate, premeditated and intended to be fatal. I would hope there could be some sort of rehabilitation but I'm not terribly optimistic about it. what will the future hold for them? Maybe not very much when you consider that 'respectable' graduates often find it impossible to get jobs and remain stable.
All 4 of the Doran brothers are now in prison. 3 are serving terms for murder. Their mother gave these last 2 false alibis and has been imprisoned herself.
I think there^ is your answer.

I agree with Jack. What a hideous story.

I think their future will be very bleak. I too would not be optomistic of rehabilitation.
Yes jack. I think the best that the rest of us can hope for is that the future for this lot involves them being incarcerated for as long as possible.
It is one of the most horrendous crimes, specially involving such young lads, and to think it was all perpetrated as a DARE.What on earth society are we living in,absolutely dreadful if this is the kind of thing used to fill young people's time and lives!!
They will be out in a couple of years.

Until we learn to clamp down on the parents as well as the children this will continue to happen.

But I doubt the people of Liverpool think there is a problem after all they are probably just scallies, no one is bad in Liverpool in their eyes.
they are evil.
I think that's a bit broad about Liverpool people, they're not all criminals who think everything's okay.
Would school discipline help? would it have helped if the D0-GOODERS kept their nose out of how parents bring their children up & the way the teachers sorted out the unruly children.
ignorant and pathetic comment
I think the way the kids were brought up was the problem here TWR, not do gooders.
youngmafbog, talk about 'sweeping statements' and 'stereotyping'. Unbelievable!
How mean to class all Liverpool people the same. There's good and bad in every town, city, state etc etc etc ...
