The above is totally untrue, however, it is virtually word for word identical to a story that went global about a day after 9/11, along with several slight variations. The fact that a load of people are repeating the same story but not one person is saying 'I saw it' suggests the CW story is equally an urban myth.
I've said what she saw (it wasn't me, which I've also said). It was mentioned at a press conference later in the day on 7th, but the police denied knowledge at that time. As a serious incident, if it were wholly unrelated, you might expect to see a column inch somewhere in the centre of the major papers...?
