In the picture with the man in the cap the Puerto Rican flag can be seen behind/below the US flag, there appear to be two flags on the same pole or two poles next to each other, in the third picture the US flag seems to have blown over, in fact if you enlarge the first picture you can see the wider stripes of the Puerto Rican flag as well.
The stars and stripes looks much newer than the Puerto Rico one.
Probably nothing more sinister than an ex US soldier type symbolically taking the position.
I'm looking on the iPad but I reckon there's 2 flags on the middle picture and someone has taken off US one in the last picture, leaving the Puerto Rican flag.
The bit about the psychic is fairly sad. I can't blame a mother who turns to such people when desperately searching for their daughter. I can blame a psychic who pretends to know the answer and doesn't.
"She's not alive..." Well, I suppose you had a 50-50 chance, but I wish that psychic had been honest, and said that she had no idea. Sad and horrible.
Hopkirk....I'm with you on this one. These three women appear to have been kidnapped 10 years ago. They aren't little girls any more. Unless the men had kept them chained up and gagged for the last 10 years, I am at a loss to understand why they didn't make their escape earlier. Something isn't ringing true.
it'll be the same old story, they've been living the life of Riley for years with three men waiting on them hand and foot, but now they've got bored, decided to make themselves a news item and sue everyone for lots of "compensation". Bet they write a book as well, just to get more money.
But the 2 kids last mentioned by bibs and jim were single captives. These three women wouldn't have been so easy to keep secret and quite for ten years, unless tied up in the basement. I hope the story is true but it just doesn't sound "right" to me somehow. I must distance myself for jno here, as that was a tad offensive.
You may well be right, for all that. We'll have to wait and see. I confess I'm inclined to believe the abduction and imprisonment scenario just because it wouldn't have been the first time, but I might just be being idealistic.
There is a wonderful bit in "Double Indemnity" when Edward G Robinson says that there is something about the life assurance claim that doesn't seem right and he can always tell because his stomach has that funny feeling inside. Of course it turns out he was right all along, as Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck murdered her husband for the insurance money.
I had the same funny feeling when the Philpotts were in that press conference, and also in the other case where that little girl Shannon Matthews was reported missing.
Something isn't right. Usually those captivated would be shut off from the rest of the world, but she (Amanda) say's 'And I'm Amanda Berry. I've been on the news for the last 10 years'. However, I do feel for these victims, whatever the story turns out to be.
