/// Mr Bailey, who stood unsuccessfully in Hammersmith, west London, as a Tory A-list candidate in the 2010 election, is understood to have clashed with colleagues and became so dispirited that he did not even turn up for work during one week last autumn. ///

Could this be one reason he was demoted, or could it be that 'His Friends' are trying to stir things up since Mr Bailey according to this section of a Guardian report, seems not particularly upset?

/// On Saturday Bailey tweeted that he did not criticise the prime minister for the way he was treated: "Regarding the Telegraph article I want to be clear I have no problem with the PM. He has always supported me." ///

A neutral observer might question the point of continuing to comment on a thread seen as 'pointless' and 'hardly worth commenting on'.

For those that seem a little slow on the uptake or wish to turn the headline into something that is not there, I will explain.

"It Had To Happen Sometime"

Government positions are shuffled all the time, so why should this be any different?

It had to happen sometime.

Disappointed are we?
AHhhh, right! - so Mr B would have been moved at some point, whether or not he was black or pink or purple.

Hardly worth commenting on then, is it?

/// It is just that it would appear you are constantly looking & searching for anything in the Daily Wail to find articles about black & other immigrants that you feel are disturbing enough to bring to our attention. ///

For your information, this was not from the 'Daily Wail' as you so silly put, but from the Telegraph, don't you think you could come up with something new to call the paper, because that silly name is wearing rather thin as all your 'nasty-left' insults are.

So why even bother put this up on here?? Doesn't make sense.

First of all, the fact that he can't get his message through or ddidn't like the job, so what? That's called politics - it's the same in the corporate world and they call it the same over there. You either decide to work from within to convince folk and drive change, or you find another employer. In his case, he has decided to stay and continue his quest to be an MP. I guess he could leave to become one of Farage's foragers or Griffin's gorillas.

Or is this you just going for your usual weekend shyte-stirring AOG, turn your big wooden AB spoon in the porridge a hint of black seasoning, some labour bashing, throw a few 'cleggie' into the mix and some cameron cauliflowers and see what the kitchen-mixer spits out, Sunday often being more vitriolic, with your hangover banging away?

Is this not a news story and is this not the news section?

It was deemed important enough to be commented on by the Left-Wing papers.

Perhaps that is your trouble it is all dependent on who posts a thread and from what news source it is commented from?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/may/11/david-cameron-adviser-shaun-bailey-etonians

http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2013/05/camerons-clique-accused-having-frozen-out-his-only-black-adviser

And the winner of the most pointless thread on AB - 2013 is.....

This one.

AOG, you do not have to post a race question EVERY day. If there is no 'race' news, post about something else. Little kittens. How talentless Alan Carr is. Your favourite colour smartie. Anything other than rubbish like this OP.
No, AOG, your comments in reply to boxtops are wide of the mark (in fact a terrible "miss" - more army practice shooting for the day of the Mountbatten style coup d'etat comes about).

They are wide of the mark as no respecting AB left-winger as you term it, but then I will throw in centrist and even conservative would not even post such crap as this, as you have.
Rubbish, AOG - I don't look to see who's posted a thread, and I don't read the papers every day so I don't give a toss which one it comes from. I just don't see that that this is a story worth flagging up to us. Just because the press consider it newsworthy might simply mean it's a quiet day in the press room. My electoral preferences don't come into it - both sides publish stuff I don't agree with.
A neutral observer might question the point of continuing to comment on a thread seen as 'pointless' and 'hardly worth commenting on'.

You lot are unbelievable, I don't know if you are all suffering a great big 'post Saturday night binge hangover' but if you are don't take it out on me..

I have had accusations of being anti-black, accusations of daring to post from Daily Mail reports when actually it was from the Telegraph, criticisms over my choice of headline, an accusation of Labour bashing when there is nothing in my post to suggest that, an accusation of 'usual weekend shyte-stirring', and more insults coming from the mentally disturbed "Sunday often being more vitriolic, with your hangover banging away" incidentally for his and others information, I drink very little and not a drop past my lips last evening.

But since you get rather frustrated when there is nothing in my post to get the 'pack' howling for my blood, I put this link before you, but could not possibly comment on it, I just happened to come across it when I was searching for other newspaper reports on Mr Bailey's demotion.

http://politicalscrapbook.net/2012/02/shaun-bailey-charity-accounts-not-submitted/

Get your teeth into that.
douglas, sadly yes, but when one's responses are leapt upon with misinterpretation, it's hard not to react.
The truth is that you love it, AOG, the more shyte flying around the better :-)
AOG, I can't help thinking you've tripped yourself up with this post. It seems awfully like you're trying to worm around it now. Just an observation.
That last link, AOG, suggests then that Bailey's not a reliable bloke. Not because he's black. He's letting down his charity, nothing to do with Whitehall.
The title of your post was confusing. If you look at all the responses you got, you can see that it called for some clarification.

It's not that people were slow on the uptake. It was that your post didn't read well. Leaving aside the title of the post, it's difficult for us to determine whether his week's leave (if indeed that happened) was the cause of his reassignment.

How could we know, without access to his HR records, or an understanding of the characters he worked with.

It would have to fall down to pure guesswork.

By the way - it really didn't have to happen sometime...

I agree sp181...very confused post.
Well, help us a little, aog. You are understandably outraged, or alive to, or sensitive about (take your pick, or choose another phrase) about any innuendo that you are, in some way, racist, covert or not.

Do you see any relevance in the man being black ? And in "only black aide" being mentioned in the piece?

/// Do you see any relevance in the man being black ? And in "only black aide" being mentioned in the piece? ///

Since it was not I who wrote the story, NO!

Are you suggesting that the Telegraph should have not mentioned his colour?

But eh, perhaps they shouldn't have, since I don't know about the rest of the paper's readership, but it certainly lit a few 'Blue Touch Papers' on here.

Did I say 'BLUE' perhaps I should have said 'RED'? Yes that seems more fitting.
In that case, aog, please appease the blue touch papers by explaining what prompted you to pick the story. And also explain what "It had to happen sometime" means. What is 'it' and why was it inevitable?
