Any ABer in Belfast to see Barack Obama and his family? I watched the speech and was quite 'embarrassed' by some of the young public yawning, even leaving; heavens can't young adults sit for 30 minutes without having their dummy mobile phones????

Perhaps the speech was extremely boring
They should pay more attention Barack Obama is going to save us all
Some of them kids were there from 6to7 this morning
watched some of it wondered how they were selected, noticed a lot of them had their smart phones taking photos, Obama's speech well rehearsed to cater for the Northern Ireland audience his ancestors apparently were from Moneygall still put N.I on the map good for tourism with all the beautiful scenery!
I think he came so near to saying god bless America at the end of the speech
Kids are not taught manners any more. Mind you, i would have thought that the president of the world would have kept anyones attention, or else his boys would showl you how powerful he is. I like him, far better than bush, but not as nice as old bill clinton.
Some of this kids had been there from the crack of dawn - I know as I was at work this morning and saw them trooping in!

weecalf; well that would just be automatic but he didn't say it...

Mr Obama does tend to drone on a bit and his pauses encourage catnapping.
With all the road closures I decided to work from home today, would have been a pain getting into Belfast so just watched it on the telly. Did notice that Cameron is playing second fiddle to Obama just like Blair did to Dubya Bush. When will someone with balls ever get into no 10?
I saw a flight of 3 helicopters flying fairly low over the Malone Rd as I walked the dog. He was probably in one on the way to the G8 in Enniskellen.
Kids have yawned at important meetings for as long as there have been kids I would guess. I'm not sure if its the same clip but I saw Obama give a very funny speech in Belfast where kids were present and they laughed and cheered along with anybody else.

Let our kids be kids for as long as they can.
It's really irritating when people keep saying that children are not taught manners anymore.
Most people I saw seemed to be paying rapt attention. There was one mobile phone fiddler and no doubt others I didn't spot but that's modern life.
I had a great surprise recently I actually met a Chinese American who didn't claim to be of Irish decent but was quick to tell me his grandfather had worked for the laundry in London that did the laundry of Joe Kennedy when he was the American ambassador before WWII. So that's all right then.
Joe Kennedy the well known crook and bootlegger, that one ?
