And is it fair that Zoo, Nuts, FHM etc are being told to cover up, when Attitude (which features equally 'salacious' pictures of men on it's front covers) isn't?

I think much of the protest originates from Mumsnet, as part of a larger campaign to shelter children from sexualised imagery, clothing, music etcetc.

Hardly a hotbed of Sharia thinking, if that is what you mean when you refer to our "guests", AoG.......

I think it will be very interesting to see how the publishers of these magazines react,personally...
LG, I imagine they will adapt their approach, maybe using new saless slogans as ....

Nuts to come in an sheaf, grab your Nuts sack today, is your bag fully Loaded.....

/// The woman arguing to have them covered up was white British. ///

"Are the Co-Op customers getting more sensitive?"

Perhaps yes, but not in isolation, and its likely that other supermarket retailers will follow suit.
Not sure what relevance there is in the skin colour of the woman wanting these mags covered up, or have I missed a thread here somewhere ?

Someone mentioned Cosmopolitan on here. I think Cosmo is a major cause of marital unrest. My sister-in-law came home from the hairdressers the other day and told my brother that she had been reading all about multiple orgasms, and bitterly complained that she wasn't having them.

My brother replied that she had 3 last year and it sounded pretty multiple to him !
Lucky lady...lol

To answer AOG's question, I would be surprised if cultural differences were an issue here, but well done on grabbing the steering wheel of this thread and smashing the question into the hard shoulder of race...
I saw this when it became news and the interviewee, a woman who argued why it is demeaning women in general, was showing enough cleavage to blot out the sun.
