He's only got a year so far. M Depardieu got citizenship for life without even asking, but then he's a fat, fawning thespian. The Kremlin are likely to be a lot more suspicious of someone like Snowden. Hang on to him to annoy America but maybe have him one day start to poke his nose into stuff with his new Human Rights buddies in the country. Decisions decisions :-)
Strictly speaking they aren't "Reds" (Communists) now. They haven't been since 1990.
if they have given him a Russian passport it seems they have given him asysum ? I am sure he will probably be happier there than spending his time in an American prison,but he no longer has the great land of his birth. A worthy swap ?
