What is our country coming to when an eighty year old man cannot walk down the street, without being attacked by a member of the lower form of our present day youth?

Lets hope this woman, along with those who accompanied her, are soon arrested and made to pay for their crime, also what kind of person would stand videoing such a crime, instead of stopping this savage and brutal attack?

From your link. There is a difference between knife crimes and stabbings
'While the level of stabbings – knife offences that have led to injury – has remained relatively unchanged with a 4% decrease from 2010-11 (4,133 offences) to 2011-12 (3,970 offences)'
whichever way one looks at this knife crime is still a serious matter, i read somewhere that hospitals do not always record those who come in with knife wounds, as a matter to be passed to the police, and those involved who may well get patched up, scarper before the police arrive, if it is reported by the hospital.
interesting, if you read down it does say hospitals do not have to report knife crime, so figures can be inaccurate..

Ok, if you want to post statistics and then try to dispute them, that's fine. Knife crime is serious but it ISN'T getting any worse.
read the last link, they prove my point that the figures may well not be accurate.
No point in debating it then. I just can't be doing with 'glass half empty' doom-mongers.

My, first Fred accuses me of putting down something that was totally incorrect (which surprise, surprise, he failed to address) and now you have come up with this from somewhere.

/// Fred, AOG has already explained the Ed altered the question title. ///

I didn't say anything of the kind.

This is what I said, but I don't know why I continuously find the need to explain myself, but then I suppose it does highlight how you continuously get the wrong end of the stick.

/// This is a sub editors licence to create a headline that will get noticed by the maximum number of people, ///

Part of a sub editors job is to create a headline which will get noticed by the maximum number of people, I was merely explaining that I was acting the part of a sub editor by creating a headline to my thread that would attract the most attention.

I have nothing against yourself and others coming out in opposition to myself, but please stick to what is said, instead of making things up in your failed attempts to belittle me.
AOG, I get it. When you choose the words for the heading to your OP, they are not words that you would use and not words you think relevant , but words which you imagine a sub-editor of a tabloid would use. .

Obviously your imagination of what others would put is responsible. Well that explains my answers to you then. It wasn't you being condemned by of your own words, but you being condemned by what you imagine someone else's words would be.
Good news. This woman has been charged with assault and remanded in to custody until November.
I'd just like to congratulate AOG for a posting that showed a remarkable even handedness on a racial attack.
Was it a racist attack? I watched and listened to the video but saw nor heard anything to indicate it was. She hasn't been charged with a racist attack.
