Like Eddie says regarding the ink and illegals...
Council refuse...where did you hear that? It's complete nonsense. The only changes to our collection is that from September each household will only be allowed to put out a maximum of two bags. This is to encourage recycling. With 4 recycling bins to fill each week that really shouldn't be a problem.

They are doing away with weekly refuse collections for those who still have them. What I'd like to know is, where does all the recycling stuff go? I've heard it is sent to China and put in landfill. If this is true, then why do I spend so much of my time sorting though rubbish to make sure I put it in the right bin?
We now have 3 bins and a box for newspapers.
One week it is the non recyclable bin the next it is food waste and recycle stuff they now take clothes and textiles as well with the recycle stuff.
Plus several charity shops now collect unwanted furniture and electrical items free of charge. There is very little now you have to take to the tip.

I haven't had weekly bin collections for a while now, save the green recycling bin. We have every other week though with recycling (blue, brown and green bins) I don't fill my bin anywhere near as quickly. Just me though but recycling does make a big difference to what goes into the grey general rubbish bin.
