I was under impression that they dressed up as pirates and were generally silly around election time.

And yet, here's their manifesto:

They speak to a lot of things I worry about - the right to privacy, copyright, patent and liable reform, for example.

And then they go off the deep end with finance - such as a land value tax (I assume they're northerners in the majority?) and personal accountability for directors...

Why is it that no minor party can have a decent set of ideas back up with a not-completely-enraging/bonkers fiscal plan to match it?

"Well I don't think the main partys have managed that either!"

A fair point. But I wouldn't call the main parties fiscal plans completely mad.
I stopped listening when printing more money (a bad thing) bacame quantatitive easing ( a good thing).

Yaaar.
Should fit in with the other three 'Highwaymen' parties.
With the greatest respect to our Editor, this new Party just sounds like all the rest. I guarantee that they will disappear without trace within the shortest passage of time. A vote for them, just all the other loony-toons will be a wasted vote.

I know Mikey - but usually the "fringe issues" which get addressed by parties of this size are things I'm either opposed or indifferent to. I don't know, maybe I'm just feeling flattered? :)

"Should fit in with the other three 'Highwaymen' parties."

Which ones are those? You mean those in support of stuff like the "Robin Hood" tax?
