She has already had a photo taken so she has not refused to be seen without the veil. She was refusing to lift her veil only in the presence of men, if she had been taken to a wee room or lifted her veil while in front of only women, there would not be the hoo-hah there is.
TCL, if she was a witness, I might accept your argument that she receive preferential treatment. She's not. she's the accused.

MUSHROOM, the police can fingerprint when they are out and about so I doubt it would be expensive to check each day if need be. If she is charged with contempt, how will they proceed with that if her identity can not be established? How would they know it was the same person who had refused in the first place?
