Either is possible, Zacs. I don't know what to think, not having seen the charges or the evidence. But baz was posting unsubstantiated opinion as fact, surely?
For some reason I'm more disappointed and bothered about Rolf Harris being arrested for this than any of the other older celebrities that have been involved in any allegations of abuse.
I think because he was such a household name when I was growing up, I loved his programmes and even in later years his Animal Hospital series was a favourite of mine.
I hope that justice can be done without the usual trial by media/internet forum.
I havent made any claims whatsover over anyones guilt innocence etc, i just said that old bill need to get results to justify money and time spent.
as to who they nail i havent got a clue, nor do i give monkeys
If "old bill" needs to jsutify results, one hopes that they only pick on guilty people. Then they don't need to justify anything, anyway, since they also got the right people.
And I don't smoke anything -- but apologies if I misunderstood your post.
Just to clarify the offence of making indecent images of a child, From Wiki...
Causing an indecent photograph of a child to exist on a computer screen is considered to be "making an indecent photograph of a child". A person who either downloads images on to disc or who prints them off is making them.
This suggests to me that the allegation is viewing and saving image/s, not a painting.
I would have had my doubts because I think a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon and spitefully destroying a lot of reputations with this - but recent indecent images? I have to say I'm shocked too.
If Rolf is found guilty, then the full force of the law should be brought to bear, just as in all the previous cases. But this saddens me in a way that Savile never did. Rolf was an important part of my childhood.
which part do you not believe, arrested early morning, court with no legal rep or witness, sent to liverpool jail and no person knew where he was until after 6-30pm that night.
I believe that he failed to turn up for court (an open court) where he was tried in his absence and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
He was arrested at his home (normal procedure) and taken back to the court where he was sentenced to 21 days for wilful refusal to pay his council tax.
It had been going on for months and he'd already been to court for the same thing and caused a commotion with the judge having to be moved out of the court for his own safety. That commotion resulted in the court being closed for the rest of the day and six arrests.
He chose not to attend the court for his public hearing. He chose not to pay his council tax. He chose to make a scene at the court earlier.
I don't see any news report of him getting compensation for wrongful arrest and false imprisonment.
