Incredible - I could hardly believe it
Not a vote of confidence - so the govt doesnt fall
but basically it means that we dont erm believe what our leaders are telling us.
MPs like sheep - more like turkeys declining to vote for Christmas
The person who comes out very badly in all this is the Elephant in the Room - Tony Blair - everyone thinks he lied to them but now they are prepared to say it
As the Beed reported said - this is entirely shaped by Iraq......

Well I hope that isn't the end of it, as the situation may deteriorate still further. I hope this was a vote against action "now", rather than for all of the future. I have a hard time believing that not intervening is the best course of action, or at least that intervention would have made things any worse than they already are.
The margin of defeat was pretty narrow, so it seems likely that yet more violence in Syria might tip the balance in favour of military action. In my opinion, we've already waited far too long...

// The UN will not be able to give a definitive answer. But just like Iraq, the different parliamentary parties will vote sheeplike, to start yet another military conflict. //
I am pleasantly surprised by this result. Parliament have asserted their authority and the will of the people not to get caught up in another Iraq has been delivered.
It will be interesting what the US do next, now that the UK will not be a partner in any military adventure in Syria.
