There is much in the news about the United Kingdom Independence Party and its increasing membership. I don’t say they wouldn’t do a good job in government, but what worries me is the prospect of leaving the United Nations, which had its beginnings at the end of World War 2 and was created to prevent war happening again. I am concerned to know more of UKIP’s vision of a future outside United Nations. What are your views? The following link mght be of interest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations

I've heard that UKiP want to pull us out of EuroVision.

Good luck with that Nige.
Rumour has it UKIP would also like to take the UK out of ... the UK
Or USSUK as they call it.
Or is that what their opponents call them :-)
baz, is there any prospect at all of Muslims or any other present minority group taking power in this country or having a defining say in its government? If not, what are you worried about ?
BAZWILLRUN if it's only the decline in the white population you worry about, does that mean you're not bothered if they are foreign as long as they are white?
steady baz, you are expressing un approved views. The right on brigade will be ready with their standard names for people that have a different view.
There is a world of difference between "expressing un approved [sic] views" and calling someone a "traitor" just because they don't judge the quality of this country by the so-called purity of its skin tones. If you are worried about the high levels of uncontrolled immigration, fine, that is in many ways understandable and reasonable. But baz is tying that up into skin colour in an unacceptably racist tone. Incidentally, this ignores the fact that the most problematic immigration is from other European citizens free to move to this country in numbers that may well be unsustainable. But those citizens also share our skin colour. I find it odd that baz never seems to complain about that, instead only being concerned about "displacement of the white population".
Jim...right again. Racism should not be tolerated on AB, and I am surprised that it has been allowed to creep in recently.

All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.
"Jim...right again. Racism should not be tolerated on AB, and I am surprised that it has been allowed to creep in recently. "

perhaps there isnt any racism, but just the views of people who dont hold you leftie pinko views that you cant cope with.

you need to learn that not everyone in this country wants it to go down the pan the way you do

Which brings us back nicely to the matter of UKIP.

UKIP, more than any other party or bloc of individuals recognises - and is prepared to say that it recognises - that the greatest threat to the stability of the UK is uncontrolled immigration from the EU, over which the UK government has absolutely no say whatsoever. It recognises that some measures exist to control movement of people from elsewhere (albeit not perhaps strict enough and not enforced rigorously enough). But it is the unfettered movement from within the EU that is of most concern. Their number one aim is to see the UK’s withdrawal from the EU and one of the main reasons for that aim is to re-establish the UK’s right to control its borders. And that has nothing to do with skin colour, or race. There is nothing racist about wanting to see control exercised over who does and does not settle in the UK. For that reason alone it is most inappropriate to lump UKIP members and supporters in with the likes of the BNP, whether they wear blazers or not.
Why should I want this country to go down the pan? I don't -- I just feel that it's far more likely by trying some form of isolationist approach, cutting Britain of from the rest of the World in some false dream of maintaining purity while in fact meaning that we end up left behind.
Absolutely NJ, but unfortunately some people just don't understand what racism really is... usually the people who are constantly calling others racist, fascist and so on.

Mind you, MacPherson didn't help when he defined a racist incident as being any incident which is perceived to be racist by any person !.
Quite, OL. I have suggested many times that the MacPherson report set back policing in the Met by twenty years. Casting the "institutionally racist" cloak over individual officers made them reluctant to take appropriate action when minorities were involvedfor fear of being called racist and paralysed senior managers. And as for the preposterous definition you mention.....
I agree New Judge and not just confined to the Met.
