Apart from the fact that the Islam religion could well be bad for one's general health as well as being extremely dangerous, was it wrong for a Muslim male teacher to describe this female business suit as 'abhorrent'?

So if you are not covered from head to toe in black clothing , then your attire is classed as abhorrent . Really ?

Have you also had a humour by-pass, it's a play on words, Health & Safety issue?

"bad for one's general health as well as being extremely dangerous", got it,NO? oh well never mind.

What does surprise me though is the fact that you are always ready to defend Islam and Muslims, but do not react the same to anti Roman Catholic and other Christianity posts.

/// Absolutely - but that does not reflect the Muslim faith as a whole. ///

But please speaking as a supporter of the Muslim Faith, what does reflect the Muslim faith as a whole?

Because I am sure others would also like to know, since no matter what they do, say, or demand, it is always said, that is not a true reflection of the Muslim faith.

\\ A Muslim free school accused of imposing strict Islamic practices, such as segregated classrooms,... \\

Single sex education ....wooo radical!

This was not single sex education, 'segregated classrooms' meant Boys at the front of the class room and Girls at the back.
Agreed ludwig

which is why we should focus on the 'behaviours' we disapprove of, not the old books that can't be miraculously unwritten - and could easily be replaced by a new interpretation of something else

Do I like the idea that people fill their heads with stories about jesus/mohammed etc? No. but it's their heads to fill with any nonsense they choose

Do I like the idea that some people think others (women, gays, non believers) are inferior? No. But ditto above

Will I agree to people enacting behaviours that conflict with my Values (murder, mutilation, segregation etc) No. Regardless of what book it's claimed to be inspired by. And that is where we need to focus our energies
//'segregated classrooms' meant Boys at the front of the class room and Girls at the back. //

I've never heard of that.
Muslim Schools should never have been allowed here in the first place, they just create bad feelings!
Thy should do the same with mosque cause the same practice go on in them and they come out brain washed
We don't need to touch the mosques

We need non-religious schools for all; to balance whatever nonsense is being fed to the kids at the parents' place of worship
AOG

You just wrote:

"Have you also had a humour by-pass, it's a play on words, Health & Safety issue?"

Are you the same AOG who wrote this after I asked whether you'd had a szenseofhumourectomy on a thread I started about the Daily Mail last week:

How can you wriggle your self out of this by inferring that you posted this in 'humour', when you told everyone to treat it seriously.

Was that you? Or was that some other AOG?

"What does surprise me though is the fact that you are always ready to defend Islam and Muslims, but do not react the same to anti Roman Catholic and other Christianity posts."

Could it be because you post so very many anti Islam threads, but the number of anti-Christian threads are relatively few...

...because the rest of us don't have your obessions about blacks, gays and Muslims?

/// AOG, do you think other religions are bad for people's health and are extremely dangerous? If so, why? If not, why this one? ///

"Why this one" ????????????????

Since it offends you I won't mention "rose- tinted spectacles", but it seems to matter not, whether or not you are wearing them, because with or without them you have failed to see what is happening all over the Middle East and in parts of Africa, even what has happened in the US and Britain.

Christian Churches blown up along with their congregations, up risings along with car bombings, Muslim against Muslims, a Shopping Mall invaded and it's shoppers killed, the Twin Towers and London's Tube and Bus bombings, in fact something similar happening somewhere around the World on an almost a daily basis.

And that is true of the whole religion, is it, AOG ?

Taken from the Daily Mail article.

/// The free school, which opened in September 2012, has also drawn criticism for allegedly sitting girls at the back of classrooms. ///

AOG - no, I have not had a sense of humour by-pass, ii simply did not see the intended humour in your post - i suspect i am not the only one.

"What does surprise me though is the fact that you are always ready to defend Islam and Muslims, but do not react the same to anti Roman Catholic and other Christianity posts."

I am ready to defend anything and anyone if i disagree with a point of view - that certainly would apply to Roman Catholic and other Christianity posts. As someone who'se entire family is RC, and who attends Mass weeekly, I certainly would and do defend what I perceive as unjst attacks. However, they are a rare occurence, certainly compared with your reference to Muslim issues, which are a daily occurence.

"But please speaking as a supporter of the Muslim Faith, what does reflect the Muslim faith as a whole?"

I am not a supporter of the Muslim faith, nor am I a Muslim, so I am not qualified to respond to your question - apologies.

What I do support is a response to attacks which are based on blanket generalisations with little or no factual basis - and that fuels the majority of our debates.
I'm not sure I do NJ

I've not been to a muslim school

Tell me what you saw when you visited one

You got it in one that was certainly me, the only difference being you told us to treat it serious, and I put no such restriction on my humorous sway, that's the big difference.
No I didn't.

I wrote:

"Seriously - read this story and gauge how outraged you are."

I didn't write:

"Read this story seriously, and gauge how outraged you are"

You and I both know the difference.

Stop trying to wriggle - accept that you've been busted and let's move on.
But AOG, you wrote:

Taken from the Daily Mail article.

/// The free school, which opened in September 2012, has also drawn criticism for allegedly sitting girls at the back of classrooms. ///

You see the problem - it was taken from a Daily Mail article. God only knows what the truth is.

I'm ducking out of this thread now, because we're no more than five minutes away from AOG claiming that we're ganging up on him.

/// Could it be because you post so very many anti Islam threads, but the number of anti-Christian threads are relatively few...///

Yes posted by me they are few if not non-existent, but that is made up by the huge number of anti Christian posts on this site, by those proudly announcing the fact that they are Atheist, yet at the same time defending the Muslim faith for all their worth.

/// ...because the rest of us don't have your obessions about blacks, gays and Muslims? ///

Speak for yourself, there is no other who is more obsessed with Gay issues, anti-White issues, and Christian issues than you.

Well let's put it this way Fred, I admit I haven't asked each and every Muslim personally for their feelings or if they have been responsible for any of those actions, but then I don't suppose you have, so who knows?
