Mccririck In Court

Much has been said about why McCririck was sacked by Chanell 4 and I suspect there is even more to come. But I was watching the lunchtime ITV news today and they had him arriving in court dressed like Mr Toad, in tweeds and a deerstalker hat.

Whatever happened to the " no tweeds in Town" rule ? Jeeves must be turning, nay, revolving in his grave

Nothing random...he is in the news complaining that he was sacked and this is the News section of AB.

I spelled his name exactly the way you did, so I am not sure what on earth you are talking about. Your last sentence, even it was spelt properly, is even more mystifying !

PS if you are referring to the title - ab changes that so that only the start of words are capitalised - hardly mikey's fault

If you were to type in BBC in the question bit, it would show as Bbc, the lack of capitals in the correct position are an AB irregularity so some high horses need to be be dismounted.

Can't stand the man, he must have made a load of money anyway and his time has come for his contract not to be renewed.

He's 73, he's had a good run. Many people get made redundant or fired well before that age and can't always get another job - why should it be any different for so called celebs ?

Methyl...you get more obtuse by the minute. In both the Guardian and Times today, this chap's name is spelt McCririck. You and I have also used the same spelling, so I am not sure what on earth your point is. Surely you haven't taken exception to my typo in the post heading ?

If he wasn't dropped or sacked, or whatever you care to call it, why is he in court accusing Channel 4 of age discrimination, and claiming £3 million in exemplary damages ?

I think such rules are pretty much relaxed these days.

I believe some people even pass the port to the left without anyone getting 'offered outside' for such poor ettiquette.

AB headlines impose this weird rule that the first letter in every word is capitalised and the rest are lower case. This means USA comes out as Usa, McCririck comes out as Mccririck, and so on. mikey's spelling is fine.

I suspect however that Chanell 4 is a perfume.
