A British friend who worked all over the Middle East years ago, said that his experience of the peoples across the many countries he worked in was that men were for pleasure, women were for procreation.........
These are backward people, in backward countries. My advice for any gay person is to avoid places like these if at all possible.
I'm not sure why anybody goes to these backward, totalitarian countries on holiday anyway.... uncomfortably hot, arid and backward to boot. There are plenty of other destinations to choose from.
Tough for people that have no choice, or have top go for business reasons though.

AOG, you quoted from my post and asked sp why sp didn't complain about these 'homophobic comments' Was that intentional ? Well, sp hasn't and wouldn't because mine aren't. Your perception of homophobia is like your perception of racism. You see it when non-homophobic and non-racist statements are made and then post about it. Mine in this instance was mocking what straight people thought years ago.
Ask your gay friends be they judges, clergy, generals (I have encountered all of those; they don't fit the gay stereotype) and others and see what they think.

Mikey4444 //These are backward people in backward countries// That`s rather a sweeping statement. It wasn`t so long ago that homosexuality was illegal in this country. Maybe I`ll go around to my Mum`s house and tell her that in her younger days, she was a backward person in a backward country - I`m sure she`ll be delighted!
