/Will we now see a right-wing protest outside the Guardian's office?/

Why would we?

Has The Guardian told lies and fabricated a story about a dead person in order to mislead their readership despite realising themselves it was rubbish?

If they have it's despicable

Dunno. Are you planning one?
by dragooned Daily Mail staff, maybe, though they'd probably want danger money for venturing away from their Kensington pad to feral north London.
This OP and its plagiarised headline might have been more convincing if it had linked to an offending Guardian piece rather than to the desperately defensive Daily Fail
Firstly: that article is really poor. Surprisingly :-)
Second, the Snowden issue is not a left/right one.
Lots of people on the right think Mr Snowden is a hero and many on the left like me er don't
Why not if you feel strongly about it.

Though most wing wingers will just whine on discussion forums instead.
A hero? I've just read that what he did is actually helping the terrorist.
society.

// I've just read that what he did is actually helping the terrorist //

Better not read this then...

No you have got it wrong, when right-wingers do protest, the ugly left turn out to prevent them from protesting, because some of us know how the left hate freedom of speech, unless it is they themselves who want to take advantage of it.

Outdated report 10 December 2008

Or this more up to date report.,

well he would say that, wouldn't he. Doesn't want people knowing what he's up to.

I'll tell you what aog

You form the 'Edward Snowden is a traitor League'

take a few members down to the Guardian offices for a bit of a protest

see how many people (left/right/ugly/pretty) actually turn up to stop you

or even notice you
/some of us know how the left hate freedom of speech/

why not venture into the other thread 'is it acceptable for an mp to break the law'

there's video on there of the Police breaking up a peaceful exercise in 'freedom of speech' against fracking

is that what you had in mind?

Is that the
Hardly surprising that the Security services are a little bit miffed at Mr. Snowden. None too surprising that they insist that his revelations have endangered spooks and informed terrorists either.

Not sure I believe either claim.Seems to me to be an attempt to justify the widespread monitoring they are already doing - monitoring that most people were entirely unaware of. It is an insidious erosion of civil liberties - and, despite you attempting to make it a left/right issue, there are as many on the right wing concerned over libertarian issues as on the left.

One thing you can be sure of - In their version of an ideal world Spooks would want 24/7 coverage of everyones movements and conversations ideally without anyone knowing about it. And these insidious erosions work best when no one knows anything- when laws are passed so that spooks can gag companies from even informing their customers that they are passing information across to the security services.

As to offering up a terrorist handbook - well, I have my doubts about that too, unless it is the "4 Lions" type of terrorist you are referring to. Most serious terrorists are so paranoid about their own security that they will be already be well aware of this kind of thing.

So in closing, there is nothing to be worried about LazyGun has spoken, he either has inside information or we have 'made him angry very angry indeed'.
on the contrary, you could try presenting a reasoned rebuttal to what LazyGun has said?
//One thing you can be sure of - In their version of an ideal world Spooks would want 24/7 coverage of everyones movements and conversations ideally without anyone knowing about it//

And you know I might even think something like such an extreme state might be warranted

*Provided it was granted by Parliament*

This is the point

Not should they or shouldn't they have the right

Not Do they need it to protect the nation

The first question is very simple

*Are they operating within the law or are they not?*

Last timeI heard one of the heads of MI5 speak he said they operate within a strict legal framework

This is true

He did not say whether they had been keeping to it

That is the starting point and there can be no equivocation about it - GCHQ, MI5 MI6 all the rest must obey the law
@AoG By posting, you invited comments, and opinions, did you not? I gave mine. You are entirely free to disagree or refute or ignore or whatever.

And it takes Bugs Bunny to make me very very angry - you are, with respect, not in the same league :)
