I know it was a joke but Saudi Arabia is one of the most dangerous places in the world to drive. They have half the population of the UK, but they have 7000 deaths annually compared with 2000 for the UK.

Not sure why anyone would wish to drive there.

Warning, crashes in the video are bad.

I believe they suffer a lot of whip- lash injuries there too. (Groan)
Backward. We gave women the right to vote in the about 1928 (in 1918 they had limited rights). The Saudis gave them a right to vote about 2 years ago. We are definitely superior. However, the right to drive will come. The current king was born in 1924, but even he sees the sense in giving women equality in some areas, hence the voting right. The problem for him is that his people are brought up under the Wahabi version of Sunni Islam, and that is peculiarly restrictive about women.

At least there can't be much of a problem with drunk drivers there
One thing I don't understand is...if these ladies are out driving cars, who the hell is doing the cooking and cleaning ?
we are not superior, getting the vote for women as late as 1928, however letting anyone drive in Saudi seems a death wish.
Iranian women have not enjoyed an easy time either, seems to simply depend on the whim of the men in charge, ain't it always so?

Ah, good old British arrogance. That`s what makes us so popular abroad!
Quite,237SJ. Did I ever tell you about when I was in Poona?

We don't have a "tongue in cheek" or a "mocking" symbol on here. If we had, I'd use it.
