Kirsty is not well at all -according to the Manchester Evg news today. She was taken ill and taken to her nearest hotpital and then taken on to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, where the staff told the M E N that she was 'critical'

Poor brave Kirsty - I saw her at the head of Knutsford May day 2005 and we all hope she will improve.

Hi,thanks for reply, ive just been on www.manchesteronline.co.uk ,have a look at this-sounds good-hope its true and shes over this setback

I know that giving a message of support on a forum like this may be seen by some as a bit pointless, but if you don't mind I'd like to do just that.  I really hope that her condition improves and that she survives this latest setback.  She's an absolute trooper and a citizen of whom Manchester should be truly proud.  She can teach us all a thing or two in my opinion (myself included!!)

Thanks for alerting me to the news, by the way! :-)

She's an amazing little girl and ever so brave. I really hope she pulls through this time although it's not looking too good. Did you know that she's raised millions for research and hightened awareness in her short life? She's done more to be proud of in the last few years than most of us can manage in a lifetime.

It's true georgit79 - Francis House Hospice has its best ambassador in her.  She inspired us to try and raise money for them while we were UG students in Manchester.  We managed a few hundred in our Halls, but nothing to what she can do!  She's truly amazing!

Key103 (local Manc radio) said this morning that she's improving.  Hopefully she'll continue to do so!

Just like to echo what everyone else is saying, Kirsty is indeed a beautiful, brave, and truly inspiring little girl, her optimism and spirit is very humbling!
She's one heck of a fighter, that little girl, and the way David Beckham looked after her at the opening of the Commonwealth Games was truly touching. Fingers crossed that she gets over this scare.
Yes heres hoping this remarkable and lovely little kid gets well soon... shes a national treasure...i have always thought its a scandal that kirsty has not been rewarded with a MBE, OBE etc for the incredible fund raising efforts she has put in over the years, and yet you see talentless nobodies whose only claim to fame is appearing in some lousy soap or murder a classic song get rewarded with some honour..
True.  I can't think of someone who's received an honour under the age of 18, although I'm sure an ABer will correct me!  If anyone should be the first one, she should!  Let's all petition the Queen!  Seriously - she deserves it - and it shouldn't be left to be posthumous.
Thanks for posting this patricia, had seen the report today, and was hoping for some better news! With wee Kirsty, once seen, never forgotten.
God bless and protect her, i hope she continues to improve and recover, she is an inspiration to us all at such a young age
I noticed that so many people have been worried about Kirsty. I have been asked to post this on the site from Susie Mathis the campaign co-ordinator for Kirsty's Appeal. Kirsty is doing extremely well and has now been moved to the Pendelbury Hospital. I spoke to Kirsty today in hospital and she was awaiting a phone call from David Beckham. I am travelling to see her tomorrow and will show her this website, she is an amazing little girl!
