Stage diving - a bit of fun...not necessarily dangerous. Lighting rig diving - extremely dangerous. Very stupid could've done a lot worse than breaking someone's arm. Could've put someone in a wheelchair for life. If I was the injured party, I think I'd probably sue (him and the venue) but as for the chances of him being charged with endangering life - I don't...

stage dives are not uncommon, though Pavarotti never went in for them much, but this seems unusually high; he should have fitted in a reverse twist somewhere.

As for suing him, it might make you feel better but it wouldn't necessarily help the lady who played pillow; we have the NHS for that.
This is typical of the so called singers of today ...do anything to detract from the fact they can't sing .scanly clad that only the men for example .bring back the days when the singer had just a mic and their voice
a mic? You think Caruso used a mic?

Bring back the days when singers just had a voice!!

He is though, a berk of the highest order.

Could you hear him OK sitting in the stalls jno?

Your giving your age away :-)
Awww c'mon the guy seems pretty repentant.
Climbing up there in the first place is pretty stupid. Jumping off from that height into a crowd is just insane.

I suspect a drugs test immediately afterwards may have proved positive.

Proper singers like Demis Roussos never resorted to such antics.
I have an image in my mind, of Big Lucy taking a dive into the audience. I saw him at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, back in 1995. If he had taken that dive, dozens would have been crushed !
Is it anymore dangerous , than diving off the wardrobe ?
It was a stupid thing to do, but in the heat of the moment, it's perfectly possible to do stupid things.

An artist having a great gig must develop a feeling of invincibility, which rapidly overcomes any standard thoughts of safety for self and others, hence the action which no sane sober person would undertake.

I am sure he has learned, and will not listen to those little demon voices in future.
