I think it kinda makes sense really...especially if health trusts can offer free support (patches, gum, inhalers etc).
What do you think?

Our local hospital has enforced a no smoking ban on the grounds. I think they are finding it difficult to enforce as there are still people smoking in the grounds.

Provide an area for the smokers, perhaps around the back and accessible for frailer patients. If they refuse to use it then ban it. anyone ignoring the ban is ejected and if they cause a problem then call the Police and prosecute.
It is easy for both to live together but many smokers just think they can do what they like and s*d the rest.
It is debatable whether the tax on cigs does actually cover the very expensive health care caused by it, especially due to the large amount of smuggled baccy.

I didn't mention ecigs once in any of my posts B00.
I would allow them, by all means. They were the biggest factor in helping my brother and his wife stop smoking.
In some ways I'm rather jealous, some of the flavours they have sound wonderful! When I stopped I just did it cold turkey, ordinary mints and gum, not nicotine. Smokers have so many alternatives and help in stopping these days I'm amazed that anybody still does, especially at such astronomical prices.

I have a young friend who works in a hotel. They do have problem there with the e cigs that look like cigs because, at functions, other guests think that the vapers are smoking real cigs. The reasonable ones complain to the staff who have to check whether the cigs are real or not, and the "less reasonable" (I mean pizzed) guests are liable to make difficulties even violent ones. Its in no way the vapers' fault of course but it would be helpful if they would use devices that are clearly not real ciggies.
Woofy, I imagine most vapours quickly progress to something looking like this
