In this case however, it would seem the footballer is not being racist or anti semitic, but rather making a stand for free speech. An anti establishment comedian signs off his stage shows with an arm gesture. The people he targets in the establishment have called it a reverse nazi salute, whatever that might be. So they are trying to ban his shows on that very weak premice. People against the ban have been copying the gesture in support of freedom of speech and the right of this comedian to make anti extablishment jokes. There motive is not racist or anti semitic.
That is probably far too complicated for the average Daily Mail reader to understand, but there you have it.
