If this is true, then the upcoming Inquests are going to be even more interesting.

No-one is saying that everyone had a ticket and no-one is saying that every PC or WPC was negligent or altered their original statements. It was a disaster and there is evidence of a systematic cover-up involving SOME of those in authority.

Yes, how many times has this been raked over? They must know it all by now.

Serious errors were made at the original Inquests. They were so serious that the Government had no choice but to announce these new Inquests. 96 people died that day in 1989 TTT...what is it about all this that you don't understand ?

If it was your little boy or brother, or father that died that day, would you be happy to let the original Inquest verdicts stand ? Or would you rather have the truth come out ?

You are extraordinary at times TTT !
Let then rest in peace, this is 25 years ago......
...but on the other hand, mikey, I see your point in your latest post.

Thanks you boxy...at least someone does !
So if a member of your family was a victim and it was shown there were serious flaws in the original inquest, you would just let it be? Strange!
Crossed posts mikey!
This cannot be only the second inquest, it's been going on for 25 years. Every couple of years it comes up, I just don't see what raking it over for the umpteenth time can achieve. Are they looking for a specific finding so they can HDQ someone for an error or what?
You don't see what it can achieve? How about the truth!

\\\So if a member of your family was a victim and it was shown there were serious flaws in the original inquest, you would just let it be? Strange!\\\

Not necessarily strange.........Yes., I would let it rest.

Tragedies happen, mistakes are made....but life goes on.

I have never been one to embark upon lifetime "crusades" which to me this is turning out to be.
It appears that, quite apart from the tragedy of the crowd handling on the day, resulting in the tragic and avoidable deaths of 96 people, the police immediately set about organising a cover-up, a conspiracy on an industrial scale, involving 10s if not 100s of police officers to deflect the blame for that day on to the fans themselves, with the complicity of The Sun and some ministers of the Government of the day.

Since then it has been like pulling rotten teeth; Each time an FOI request is submitted, further allegations or wrongdoing and additional evidence emerges to show the extent of the cover-up/conspiracy, along with minor things like theft, perjury and the like. And now it appears that the appeal and support groups set up in the wake of the tragedy were illegally monitored and harassed by the police.

We need to have as many enquiries as it takes to establish the extent of malfeasance, in my opinion. I certainly do not want the police I pay taxes towards, the police who can only police through consent, through having an impeccable reputation with the public, to be pulling sleazy underhanded and illegal tricks like this.

TTT...are you being deliberately obtuse ?

The purpose of an Inquest is to investigate a unexplained death. What can a second Inquest achieve ? The truth I would hope.

You haven't answered my question of 17:48 ......

I don't suppose you can be bothered to read this Tora, but here's hoping!
Tragedies happen, mistakes are made...but life goes on...not for 96 supporters it doesn't! You've just lost my respect sqad!
Saki....I have lost so many Aber's respect that one more doesn't bother me.

That is how I feel....sorry that you disagree but I respect your difference of opinion.
