"Typical PC speculation" AOG ? And what is PC about knowing, from long experience of these cases, that there is that pattern to many of them ? Does your experience, not termed PC, match that, or do you prefer to label anything 'PC' when it doesn't fit your prejudices ?
I take it you noticed that the woman's partner was arrested for assault with her. And your extensive knowledge of the criminal law will have informed you what it takes to be charged and indicted as a principal, no doubt. But we shall see how the evidence emerges. It may be that the woman struck the blows or was the sole actor in otherwise inflicting the injuries, but that is not what normally happens in these cases. The commonest scene is as I have described.
