Bob Crow, the transport union leader, has been spotted living the high life on a cruise. The Daily Mail is, I think the word is, outraged. Now, had he been a QC he would be on as good or better money, but he wouldn't be condemned providing he did his best to get good results for those he represented. Is there a difference?

// Now back home at to his tax-payer funded London council house // Does that mean he lives rent free? Or does it mean it is a council house built by, er, the Council? And he pays rent?

Hmmmm... ;0/
Not sure why Crow shouldn't go on holiday if he wants. The cost of the trip is completely immaterial, although I am sure that others will disagree on here !
Mikey, no need to guess what your reaction would have been had the name Crow been replaced with Cameron. These high earners do get about! :o)
Naomi...the thought of dave and Crow being on the same cruise, at the same time and at the same dinner sitting is just to funny to dwell on !
I didn't mean that - but don't you believe it. Your Labour heroes feather their own nests - Mr Crow included (pardon the pun).
Naomi...explain if you can, why Bob Crow shouldn't be able to go on holiday if he wishes ? He is a working class chap but are you saying that he should stick to Margate and leave the finer things in life to his betters ?

I know what you meant though. In my opinion, Britain might actually function a little better if dave went on a nice long cruise.
He's a working class chap? That wasn't what you were saying about high earners the other day. He can go where he likes on holiday - but it's difficult to ignore your double standards.

Got to go. Bye for now.
Ah...so Crow CAN go on holiday anywhere he likes after all naomi ! I knew we would get there in the end !

Is that he is red another slur on his politics? You never know with the Daily Mail !

They didn't pick up on what he is wearing, in one shot. Looks like Vilebrequin swimwear, the choice of the extrovert rich, and available in your nearest Burlington Arcade!
I cannot see the problem here, this has been going on for the last 50 years that I can remember. Tory, Labour, Union leader and head of any public service.....why not?

Met a female union leader some years ago on her way to Brighton Conference and she told me of the lavish entertainments.

I would do the same.
If he does earn £145K then he can afford a £10,000 holiday.

Though some friends of mine are just back from the same trip and it cost them £2,300 including flights.

Nice to start the weekend with a Daily Mail none story.

QCs don't claim to be champions of the working classes and don't live in council houses. Bob Crow has become rich by blackmailing the travelling public into paying his members more than they get themselves. He then creams off a salary that rail and tube passengers can only dream of. In any other culture, he would be called a robber baron and have a price on his head.

Well, if he's 'blackmailing' the public and getting away with it, the result being that his members get exceptional pay packets or better terms of employment or both, he's doing what he's paid for, isn't he, jim ? What else is a trade union leader for ?
// If he does earn £145K then he can afford a £10,000 holiday. //

He can also afford to buy his own property and free up his council house for someone who needs it. The council house is good for the image though I guess.

shocking i never knew my dad so well paid as a kid we went on the beach and had a cruise

a day at new brighton and a cruise across the mersey
Dr.Filth.
