i have seen at least 6 and possibly more friends over the last few years die from alcohol, a couple were out and out alcoholics, who should have got treatment, others were heavy drinkers who just didn't know when to stop,
one was a good mate. a friend found him dead from a massive heart attack, caused by so we were told, excessive drinking, and smoking like the proverbial chimney. he was 48, what was sad he was such a lovely bloke, no harm to anyone.
