Thank God I'll be in the office with air conditioning then!!

I like it cold. Wintery snowy cold. But we don't get much of that in the UK either. Rain is fantastic, but only when you're prepared for it. And it has to be thunder and lightning!!  It helps me drift off to sleep at night...

Me too the rain hits the conservtory roof and the noise helps we sleep then i'm woken by the sound of baby tears they don't help me sleep but they do look like rain.
yippee the hottest day of the year and I am not at work, to be honest though I hate it when its too hot, I too love rain, thunder and lightning and best of all snow
Yayyyy, bring on that sunshine :-)
According to LBC weather specialist Chris Lowrie and BBC website this is complete nonsense. About 22C.

when did the BBC ever get it right?

Help me out someone? did anyone else see this on the news last night?

according to our local weather forcast in the midlands we are getting showers..i dont want a hottest day in history ..as if i get one then i shall have all the fans and air cooling system working themselves to death..and i wont venture out..i heard on the local radio on monday about this heatwave but its not going to happen..well at least not where i am..
I Love the Sun!!!  If it is the hottest day you'll find me sitting sipping something cool in the garden with my feet in the paddling pool!!

I am leaving Spain onThursday cos the heat and humidity is awful, so high that everything is wet.  I am coming to England  to be nice and cool.  If as you say it is going to be incredibly hot I shall scream and scream until I'm sick.  So beware Stansted and Victoria. Wonder if ABEd's office is near???? Maybe I'll call in for a cuppa???

Bring on the sun!! I like it hot.  Of course, I'm from the desert in the Southwestern US.  So the hottest day here will probably feel quite comfortable to me.

Sorry, but this "story " is a misinterpretation by a few of the tabloids desperate for something, anything, to put in their papers. I think it stemmed from a betting company who decided that for gambling purposes August 12th would be the most liekly to be the hottest day and used it for people to make bets on wether the day will before or after. Or something like that.

I absolutely love thunderstorms- my favourite kind of weather. Standing in one of those makes you realise what a wonderful and powerful thing Mother Nature really is..

It's always really hot on a Friday when I'm going to be spending most of the afternoon on the M1/M6 in a little car with no aircon. Typical...
