This time it wasn't white girls who were targeted but young girls of their own community, but it seems that some would still wish to cover up these disgusting crimes.

A lot of rape victims, male and female, of all ages don't report it for the same reason.

i remember posting this a while back, same chap, he was featured in a documentary and spoke very eloquently of trying to help the girls and their families come to terms with what happened to them, to try and get the families to report the matter to the police, an uphill struggle because as you have said, it brings shame on the family, and in no way is it the girls fault.
one girl was sent away to a sort of foster family in America, the loneliness she must feel being away from her family and being made to feel as though she was to blame, is heartbreaking.

Now you and I know emmie that the Sharia courts in this country will say the young girl enticed the men and that they are guiltless, so they do not take it to court.

i suspect part of that is true, however the more this goes on, and the families don't deal with it properly by taking the matter to the police, then it will continue, these cases are only now coming to light, which probably means it's been going on a long time.

Brenden, the Sharia Court is the last place Muslim families would report a case of rape to. They don't want it to be known, least of all by the Muslim community.

Capital punishment for gang rapes .

the families must play their part, if they are ashamed of their daughters, how on earth do you get them to go directly to the police, this silence is a killer.

We don't have and never will have capital punishment in the UK.

we did have, i am not suggesting it will be brought back for moment, but punishments should reflect the crimes. They would never come out of jail.

Agree Andres...but we are in the UK, we must respect the ethnic minorities and their culture and religion lest we are called racist and prosecuted for it!! Chuck the sods out and revert to the law of the land....or what it used to be instead of cow-towing to them in case of reprisals. Who is this land governed by....indigenous people or those who come from other lands and wish to push their beliefs and customs onto us? Answers on a postcard...

Don't be so sure hc4361. It's going to prove too expensive in a bit to keep all the whole life prisoners that people like you seem to prefer to torture .Get rid and save millions of pounds!!!

andres, the death penalty was abolished in 1956 and in 2004 we gave up all right to reinstate it.

If you look at the US example you will see it costs far more to execute a prisoner than to keep him locked up for life, let alone the possibilities of killing an innocent man.

Men and women of all cultures, religions and races are prosecuted and imprisoned for rape in the UK and that is why there are men and women of all races, religions and cultures in UK prisons now for rape.

I don't want capital punishment in the UK. That is carried on in barbaric countries under the likes of Sharia law. If you want capital punishment go and live in one of those countries.
