I don't agree with the "must have been really unattractive if you never got groped" comment. I am sixty now, was a very attractive teenager in the age of very mini miniskirts (though I do say it myself and you wouldn't believe it now) and never once got groped. I do remember that a couple of boys made overtures, I threatened them with violence and that was the end of it. I am a convincing and uninhibited threatener :)
I think, though, that there is, and was then, a difference between a sleazy idiot with wandering hands who needs a good kicking, and someone who believes, or believed then that a certain type of people (young women, young men, children, secretaries, you know the list) are/were "fair game" "asking for it" and so on, and who systematically act/acted on that belief. That's abuse and not something that anyone should have to put behind them.
I suspect that what is coming to court now is a mixture of false and mistaken allegation and genuine victims....
