Scary stuff. It was easier to watch when I managed to shut the stupid woman up - her commentary was not improving my grumpy mood.

If he is a construction worker it is safe to assume that it is a newly built building. Imagine getting to the end of the contract, the building almost complete and then ..... it burns down. Thankfully nobody was hurt.
