I think AoG posted a link to one of his comments on one of the threads concerned with the debate, 3T. It was Farages support of Putin, and the fact that the British encouraged the EU to foment discord in the Ukraine, or something like that.

Farage really is a frightful little man.
so is Ed Milliband, following closely by Ed Balls.
@ 3T AoG reposted several snippets from Farages comments as reported in the Express. In the debate last night, one of the things he said was thisl

"/// 'We should hang our heads in shame,' Mr Farage said, claiming Britain had encouraged the EU to pursue an 'imperialist, expansionist' agenda. ///

/// 'We have given a false series of hopes to a group of people in the western Ukraine and so geed up were they that they actually toppled their own elected leader,' he said. //"

I think that sounds a tad anti-british, don't you?
@Emmie "so is Ed Milliband, following closely by Ed Balls."

And this is relevant to last nights debate - how, exactly? Or are we in the "lets call any old random politician names" corner now?
no, i think he is expressing an opinion, it doesn't seem particularly anti British, and you would think if anyone flies for the flag for Britain its him
"no, i think he is expressing an opinion, it doesn't seem particularly anti British, and you would think if anyone flies for the flag for Britain its him"

Oh, thats all right then! He is just expressing an opinion! So in 3T world it is only when a left winger expresses an opinion that it is anti-British! Glad we got that cleared up :)

Where was Cameron???.
frightful little men, as per mikey's dig.
i will read through the thread again,
were you referring to Farage because i was - he is allowed his opinions, they may not suit you, or anyone, but we all have them
Your response to Mikeys "dig" - an opinion he is perfectly entitled to have, was at least relevant to the thread inasmuch as he was one of the participants in the debate over europe.

But because your precious Mr.Farage is insulted, you feel that, for balance, you have to have a dig at some politicians that you don't like that were not even part of last nights debate? Classy :)
then why make the comment - as to classy, what would you know about that
he is not my precious anything,
He was precious enough to you that you felt impelled to defend him by insulting 2 blokes that were not even at the debate last night.

And whilst I might not be classy myself - I never claimed to be- I do recognise it when I see it :)
shame then they don't go centre stage and tell the British people what their plans are for Britain come the next election. Or do we have to wait till the last moment to find out.
Farage is just a posh BNP bloke in a suit .I wouldn't trust him further than I could throw him.
I'm in.
What on earth does that have to do with last nights debate? Clegg explicitly challenged Farage to live debates - not DC, not EM - Farage. If you have an issue with the non-appearance of EM or DC, take it up with Clegg for not extending the invitation.

And what on earth does stating manifesto pledges have to do with a thread about opinions on europe?
because if more of these debates, on our future within the EU and other matters are proposed, then surely it's not without merit that the party that wants to be the next government, should tell the British people what their plans are, in consideration of our future involvement with the EU exit or stay, revised treaty, revised rules, are more of these debates planned.
Clegg didn't do well out of the debate,

LazyGun, why do you post a smiley face after sarcastic comments clearly not intended to be ‘smiley’?

Farriercm, // referendum to join 1975.//

I repeat, there was never a referendum to join. This country joined the EEC, known as the Common Market, in 1973. In 1975 a referendum was held to decide whether to stay in or to leave.

//Where was Cameron???.//

Dave said he was too busy running the country to debate with Nige.
