My monthly update, for Sqad, and others ! Despite a so-called popular Budget, Labour still appears to be ahead in the Polls. It seems that we can't be bribed by a Tory Chancellor, not matter what he does.

A lot is said about Blair these days, but people forget that he won a massive landslide in 1997 and then went onto win a further 2 elections. I am on record here in AB in saying that he would probably have won again in 2010, if he had not abdicated in favour of the disastrous Brown. So if we end up with a Blair lookalike in 2015, then I won't be too sorry.

My point was more along the lines of we have a coalition so it is not a true Tory Government by any means so a centre left labour Government would not really present much in the way of change.
There is no way Blair was anything like any labour person before and he certainly moved the labour party well right from what it was.
