Not everyone's brain works well. Sometimes I marvel that so many are adequate.
PILLOCK !!!!

According to the clip, the Judge has already said that when this twit comes back for sentencing later this month, he can expect a lengthy jail sentence, so at least he won't be a danger to the rest of us for a while. I wonder if it was his little boy perched on top of the fuel tank ?

Harpurhey

that is near me, and yes they are like that

he is going to prison as a result of a fire-arms offence
That's nothing, in india it's common practice to have the entire family on the bike, including a babe in arms, no lid in sight, that looks bad in our super safe world but really in the scheme of things nothing out of the ordinary. Read my handy guide to driving in mumbai here: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Motoring/Question1283744.html
jail's a bit OTT.
I saw seven on a motorbike in Thailand.
Hi there: MMmmm, I agree a complete disregard for the child's safety and until he 'did a wheelie' couldn't see a lot wrong with it – apart from going too fast in a built up area. I'm 66 years of age, still ride a motorcycle and well remember going 'around the block' on my dad's motorcycle; sitting on the front of the tank and holding on to the middle part of the handlebars. Come on guys, health and safety must not be allowed to take over the world!!

TTT...the court obviously doesn't agree with you, if the BBC clip is to be believed. That little boys life was put seriously at risk, and I think a jail sentence is entirely appropriate, but I want to see a long driving ban as well.

Here is another idiot on a motorbike :::

My BBC footage is dated October 2011, so this is not actually current news.

Dick Head though.......

I can't work out if you are being ironic here Linotype, or being serious. This tw*t carried a very young child around on a motorbike and you can't "see a lot wrong with it"

Amazing !
OK apologies, didn't see the wheelie bit initially, that was bad but up to then it wasn't jailable.
See my comment here on your other link mikey:

Maybe (hopefully) when the little lad is older,he will go up to the rider and scare the living you know what's out of him.I don't know if it has been made clear if the child wanted to go on the bike or was told to but in either instance, where was the mother?Did she agree? If so will she be getting into trouble as well?
I bet this idiot will be out on the roads in a year or two cos out justice system is so inadequate.
Sorry to go off track here but this needs saying, I wonder how many will go to jail over this tragic event?

I hadn't realised that the 2nd clip had been posted before...thanks TTT.

But can I get one thing clear. One person on here this afternoon has already said that carrying the little boy on his petrol tank was OK, but not when he went too fast in a built-up area, or did a wheelie. Shouldn't we all be condemning the motorcyclist for having the boy on the bike in the first place, whether he was going too fast or not ?
Did you see my Newquay to Hayle one last week, mikey? Highest speed on a bike on the road recorded.....result death and the police needing counselling. If you didn't here it is. The last ninety secs is unbelievable.

Linotype
My first reaction was to agree with you. We are similar ages, and yes, I've ridden on my Dad's petrol tank round the block. Difference is, there was far less traffic on the roads and Dad's bike couldn't pull wheelies.
Nowadays it's simply stupid, putting not only his own child's life at risk, but also the life of anyone just stepping out of their front gate onto the footpath.
Here's how to deal with jerks, Spanish style.......some class in this one.

No one has said it was OK, I would not do it, I just think that in the scheme of things its not somthing to get all holier than though hysterical about. My dad regularly gave me a "crossbar" on his push bike when I was little not much difference here in essence bit too fast perhaps and a silly stunt. I'm not saying we should all throw caution to the wind but lets get it into context shall we.
