Sounds like a build up to massive prices for alcohol for all of us to me.
from the article "There has been a steady decrease in violent crime every year for the past six years.". Well if that is the case how is it linked to dearer booze, prices have only risen in the last 2-3 years and even then not that much. There is still plenty of cheap white lightening etc available.
Perhaps it is more to do with people finally seeing sense, and many videos showing how stupid you look when totally plastered.
As I say, watch out for the anti booze campaigners now smoking is in decline.
WE MUST NOT ENJOY OURSELVES.

There may be a few places charging what they like but most in my area at least are locked in brutal competetion. For example there is a place near me where you can get 2 pints for £4.20. The supermarkets are as cheap as ever, even the WSC can get their white lightening for a shilling a gallon. If there is a reduction in violence then great but I have no idea why. Although on News 24 this morning it was reported that a lot of teenagers are not even starting boozing maybe that explains some of the reduction.
