He has not "lost" the brand millions. No club has the absolute right to Champions' League qualification. Therefore, if they're counting on that cash in their budget each year, they're guilty of some fairly questionable accounting. What's happened here is that he hasn't 'won' them that added bonus.

And that's all.

Also, they're not "the richest football team in the world". How much is the club leveraged? Some half a billion?
