Yes but when they return, the defence expect to call another 15 to 17 witnesses...

we will all be hot on Roman Dutch criminal procedure by the end of this.
They (the defence) have to call the defendant first ( if they are gonna call him ).

The "jury" are a judge and two lay assessors so the defence will present it in a different way to how they would to 12 people off the street.

Ah- scooping had me thinking that Rolf was appearing as a defence witness in the Oscar Pistorious trial

Rolf Harris. Think it's 12 charges of indecent assault, four charges of child indecent images. Not certain of the 12 charges all relate to minors.

Re Rolf...

Six of the indecent assault counts relate to a girl aged 15 between April 1980 and April 1981, and one relates to the same alleged victim when she was aged 19 between January 1984 and January 1985.

Three of the alleged indecent assaults relate to a 14-year-old girl in May 1986.

The other two charges relate to the alleged indecent assault on a girl aged seven or eight between January 1968 and January 1970, and a girl aged 14 between January 1975 and January 1976.
