Sorry to hear that, may he rest in peace.
I was going to say he was a stalwart of the Carry On films but I've got the wrong person haven't I. RIP anyway.
Ah...got really confused...was thinking of Leslie Philips.

sorry to hear this. no more pain now. RIP.
Sorry to hear this sad news.
An excerpt from his most famous work:

They're building a house...
Boooooooo!!
It's a public house...
Hoooraaay!!
There's only one bar...
Boooooooo!!
It's five miles long...
Hoooraaay!!
There's only one barmaid...
Boooooooo!!
GREAT BIG T*TS!!!
...HOOOORAAAAY!!!

I heard that recited often in many a barrack room during my time in HM Forces.

RIP.
Sorry I meant RIP Leslie Thomas. Sorry if I offended anyone.
sorry to hear that. I was at his dining table on a cruise once; great guy.
Whilst i would have to agree that he will very probably be remembered more for his Virgin Soldier and Dangerous Davies books, the one i enjoyed the most was Running Away. A very funny story from a very witty writer. R.I.P.
I recall an interview with him when he said he submitted his first book to 78 publishers before it was accepted. More fool them. RIP.
I think he wrote That Old Gang of Mine which was a really great book...

Yes, 1979/1980, he wrote that ^^
My Mum danced with him on a cruise liner many years ago and she still has the photo .......

(I first misread this to read Leslie Phillips too).
