Regardless of whether you agree with the Coalition's policies, can you fill in the blanks. They must have done more than 3 things, but I am stuck to remember them.

> earlier this year Richard Murphy of Tax Research UK listed the ways in which the chancellor, George Osborne, had changed the tax regime for the largest corporations, and calculated that these concessions would cost the exchequer between £5bn and £10bn a year over the next six years.
At the higher end of his estimate, that money could have prevented all the benefit cuts overseen by the Department for Work and Pensions.

This question contains a few urban myths. Some of the more significant to dispel::
"...while giving the rich further tax relief."
I assume, canary, that you are talking about the reduction in the top rate of tax from 50% to 45%. For all but one month of Labour's term in office 40% income tax was seen as perfectly adequate for the top rate. It increased to 50% in April 2010. This government reduced it to 45% - still 5% more than the Labour administration saw as sufficient for almost all of their 13 years in office. Also, more than twice as many people now pay 40% income tax than five years ago. At the other end of the scale the tax free personal allowance has been raised to £10k
"Created food banks."
Do a bit of research, farriercm, and you will discover that the Trussell Trust (the principle provider of food banks in the UK) opened its first outlet here in 2004.
