I don't think it's that ridiculous, really. The LibDems as a whole shouldn't be penalised for the perceived mistakes of their leadership necessarily. And for all that, it could be argued that they didn't have much choice in 2010 anyway. So yes, I do feel some sympathy at least for those LibDem MEPs who had nothing to do with that.

In terms of the prediction, I think it might end up being a tie for seats between UKIP and Labour, Tories third, Green party coming ahead of the LibDems. Not going to guess at numbers, but about 20 each for Labour and UKIP seems right.
