G-Word?

I can guess the significance of the N word.........but despite reading the newspaper and asking various people......I cannot find the meaning of the G-word.

I know it is politically incorrect......because everyone is saying so.............help!

Im over 50 and always have 'girly' days out with friends. we have a meet up with the 'girls' evening once a month.
It is totally ridiculous to say that it could be offensive in any way at all to call someone a girl!

Definitely an age thing - our generation dont distinguish an age for girls and lads but apparently those younger do. You can do a degree in this sort of thing - sociolinguistics.

Saussure (1909) pointed out that in an analytic language (English) - the words had their own meaning, and the context may then modulate them. Think well and think of well in well-to-do.

Here the word complained of ( gurl ) is modulating the context.....
