It would never occur to me to vote for them, but just from casual observation I do not see Cleggy as a Party Leader any more than I see Call-me Dave to be one.
I'm generally a Tory voter, but John Major had more charisma than
Call-me Dave.
This is a party in utter meltdown. When interviewed post-election, Clegg said 'now is not the time to change'.
So when is, Cleggy?
The Lib Dems are travelling headlong into political obscurity at warp speed, nothing less.
After the 2010 TV debates, our knowledgeable electorate, saw a young looking face, new to main stream Politics promising a "brave New World" and guess what?
The electorate fell for it splitting the two major parties and bringing on the first peacetime Coalition..............don't blame Cleggy.
do blame Clegg for wishy washy liberal ideals, none of which he has stuck to, changed his mind more times than one has hot dinners.
he is a useless leader, he was outsmarted, outgunned by Nigel Farage, he got his arse rightly kicked. He should resign, let someone else take up the cudgel, only don't let it be Vince Cable, the old codger should be put out to grass.
I don't think its important how many coups there are, as the Libdems are dead in the water.. This was obvious as soon as they agreed the pact with the Devil 4 years ago.
On another note, what happened to that LibDem Peer who was accused of sexual pestering last year ? I can't remember his name but he was just about to go to Court, and then it all went quiet.
does it matter, and besides, won't Labour have to go into a pact with them, surely they are not going to get a majority victory come the general election.
There is no problem with the leader the problem is with the "we know best" attitude of the whole party. All this week any lib dem interviewed said the same, we got a kicking but we stick to our guns and will continue to do so. Hello, Earth the Libdem central, they just don't accept that they got a kicking because the public disagree with their wishy washy snout up EU's arris attitude coupled with the arrogance that "we know best" and the public are wrong, maybe the public are wrong but they are the ones punching you in the face mate!. Don't fire the leader disband the whole sorry shower and start again.
That's the problem sandy, they don't appear to have anyone with charisma, appeal, gravitas, conviction nor fortitude.
Oh how they must wish for a Farage!
