It should have been a two year International ban.
As it is, Liverpool FC the business, are being penalised for something their employee did while seconded and under the supervision of a different manager.
The ban could cost Liverpool FC £millions if it hampers next years Champions league qualification and they miss out because their star player was absent for 9 league games.
Punishing the club, with huge financial implications, for a misdomeanour committed on International duty is clearly wrong. Liverpool should appeal against the club ban.
